One of the greatest unsung heros of Festool products is the systainer. Two things that I specifically love about it are the picture on the inside of the lid to show where everything goes and also the way the tool fits in perfectly in position. It's very functional but also looks good and is quite satisfying for some reason.
I want to take these aspects to the whole of my tool storage. I have been putting screws in a piece of MDF on the shed wall and while it works, I feel there should be a better solution. I have seen pegboard solutions, and even a pegboard made with dominos, but nothing that have that same satisfaction of a systainer. The ideal solution should make it really quick and easy to know exactly where everything goes. Some folks draw round their tools to get this effect which is fine, but I would prefer to have something a bit better looking and reconfigurable if a tool gets replaced.
