    With less than two days left I am wondering if there has been any movement on preserving the tF content?

    I am also wondering about the exact shut down time?  Midnight ?    30th/31st ?  or 31st/1st?  Pacific Time? etc.

I'm happy to say that John has accepted my offer to assume the responsibilities for keeping the talkfestool forum live, so the content will be preserved online and accessible just as before. We're now sorting out the details of the transition so it goes as smoothly as possible to minimize any downtime.

I want to thank Paul for stepping up to the plate on this. I've got seven years of my life invested in talkFestool, and I'm thrilled that it has a chance to keep going.

Not to worry about a shut down time. I'm not going anywhere, I'll keep the forum going and work with Paul for as long as it takes him to feel comfortable with taking over.

Great news!  I have several half-finished projects that have been documented there over the past several years.  Maybe with the forum off his back, John will be able to finish his shop!  [big grin]  (Inside talkFestool joke...)

When i first used Festool kit TF was one of the places i visited to gain some information.....and of course FOG.
