Tanos Version Of 498889

Hi everyone - I'm looking for a more organized way to store my dowels, biscuits, etc. I know I can use the Festool 498899, but is there a Tanos version I can find somewhere that doesn't have Festool logo? I'd assume there were dominos in there, and if possible, I'm trying to avoid that. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don't think that one is available in Tanos version. But you can probably buy the insert bins and lid foam as parts (call Festool). Then put them in what ever color Sys you want.  Or buy the Festool one and a different lid / handle/ latch in what ever colors you like. and swap them out. You would just need to remove the labels on the lower portion. All the molded in Festool logos are on the lid.

Not sure which way works out better cost wise.

BTW, those bins can stack and a double high fits in a Sys - IV. Three high will fit in a Sys - V. I am not certain that the space between the top bin and lid work out perfectly in these cases. There might be a little extra space at the top. More options.  [smile]

Thanks, Seth - looks like a call into Festool is in order. Definitely going to order different color latches to help differentiate things. Just trying to avoid a Festool Label on my Lamello and Mafell accessories. I figured you'd know best haha!

If you look for the Domino connector SYS-D8, this has the same containers, but in a SYS 1.

Yes, forgot about those!  They are the same foot print but not as tall as the ones in the regular domino assortment.  Guesstimating that the taller are about 4 1/2" and the shorter are about 2 1/4".  Some good stacking possibilities.

You can easily remove the green paint of the Festool logo with paint thinner or aceton. When the green is gone the bevelled letters are not so noticeable. You can also remove the letters themselves with a sander.

I don't have any loose lids laying around just yet lol. I'll probably just use paint remover and be done with it. Haven't had time to get into my shop to work on this at all due to a busted ankle so things are on hold for a few more weeks. I appreciate it!

Another way to remove the color that's a bit less messy is to rub it off with a magic eraser and a spray cleaning product called "totally awesome " , there are probably others but that's my go to
Change out the TLOC and voila
