When I first saw the photo I thought NY had legalized weed!!  When I was in high school...late 60's, Both my best friends grew weed, one in his closet and one in an abandoned car.  Both were sons of preachers and the abandoned car was between the parsonage and the university tennis courts where his dad was the paster!

I grow a lot of herbs but that's not one of them. The state plant inspector is a good guy, but I think he might not be cool with that. [eek]

I had noticed in another thread that you were buying to Kapex and planned to use it for greenhouse stands, etc.  Is this a hobby or a retirement profession?  I've always wanted a greenhouse and am just curious.

Although we started 22 years ago, I always thought of it as a retirement profession. I retired 3 years ago. We only do the spring crop and are done by the first part of July. We will start heating the smaller of the two greenhouses next week.

Does that mean that you are growing and producing plugs or plants for resale or are growing to produce produce?  Or both?

We just grow and sell them retail. We're done by the beginning of July. Then it's sawmill season. I saw a lot of pine on my woodmizer and dry it in the greenhouses until fall. Sometimes there's overlap and I get in trouble with the wife/boss.
