Thought I would share a project I was commissioned to build.
This functions as both a display case as well as allowing for transport (like in a car) as the eyepieces are held in place by the nylon screws.
One Walnut board used for the sides, so the grain pattern continues around the box. Oak splines to offer a contrast in color and add strength to the metered corners. Book matched walnut top panel. Brusso hinges and clasps, and Ebony lift. I had a local shop do the engraving. Makes you kind of pucker when you hand over a finished top to have someone else do the engraving... This case was approx 6-1/2" tall, 14" wide by 9" deep. Holds 12 of the 1-1/4" eyepieces.
