Seems I may have jumped in a little too quickly...
I have recently installed a couple of privacy fences, and am looking to finish out two basements including hanging a bunch of drywall. A screw gun seemed like it would be a great addition. I did some searching and seemed like Festool had some nice features and good reliability. I even found videos of a guy installing a deck using the DWC 18. I had heard of the 2500 but thought this was the older model, not the RPM.
Searching again, I see a couple of references to the 2500 being preferred for work with timber and the 4500 primarily for use with metal studs. I will not be working with metal studs and I just purchased the 4500 off of recon.
Anyone using the 4500? Do you use it exclusively for drywall? I am assuming it can handle driving into pine studs, but does it have enough power to handle harder material? If I don't keep the 4500 what should I get? Looks like the 2500 is NAiNA.
Thanks and appreciate the input
