Ten years on the FOG

I was lurking in 2007, but I did not join until July of 2009...so not quite 10 years for me. But, it is amazing that this many years has gone by...so quickly.

Yeah I lurked when it was still a yahoo group, before the forum existed in this format, maybe  I was even in the group under another name then. I dont even remember, but time does fly. Well over 9 years for me too.

Just around the corner on 6/24 for me.

A big round of applause for the contributors over all these years. The forum doesn't exists without content.  And in a way also the read only people and lurkers too. If no one was visiting what would the point be?  Even with all the other internet platforms the forum format offers something different in it's depth of information. And depth of information is something that is often required in woodworking and tools.

I started in Jan 22 2007 also.  I've learned so much from everyone on this forum it would take a big book to write it all down. Thanks everyone!

Pretty sure the orig. group was late 2003 or very early 2004.

I remember it coincided closely with the $59 ES150 promotion that was short lived.

The guy that started it founded several groups in that era if I remember correctly.
