Hey guys I have golfers and tennis elbow in my left arm and am starting to get it in my right. I started using KT tape (which is great) but I get super filthy at work and have a small child at home. By the end of the week I get a bruise from peeling off the tape at the end of every day. I have been thinking about trying compression sleeves, does anyone have experience with these? and recommend a manufacturer. Or is there another product/system all together that I should consider.

Oh I feel for you.  Went thru that with both arms years ago.  If your insurance can get you to a physical therapist then exercises and stretching might help you like it did me.  I tried all the compression stuff available back then but for me it was time and stretching.

I'm an occupational therapist. If you message me/email me on here and send me your email I will send you the handouts I give my patents to do at home in between therapy sessions. It will not let me post the files.

I had a problem with it last year and physio cleared it up for me.

I used the tennis elbow Velcro strap/ pressure point to alleviate
Pain, which did work for a while. Ultimately went for a cortisone
Shot. Pain free 2 years. FYI

It is indicative of many trades these days.  Before the invention of cordless screwdrivers and the like, torn tendons in the elbow were more common.  I have had both elbows operated on with lateral epicondylitis problems.  We just don't rest enough doing the tasks and get micro tears that continue to grow.  Even after treatment, you can have continuing issues.  If you have too many cortisone injections you can get calcification and that is another host of issues.

I am doing a ton of stretching, and self massage. I see a masseuse about every month or other month that athletico recommended. It all helps a lot, but I can't keep up. A weekends just not enough time to recover.

Yea a weekend isn't gonna cut it. I had to really give it a rest for about a month or two and take it slow thereafter for a while, would have been much less if I'd acted sooner. I had a milder recurrence earlier this year and some physical therapy sessions of deep tissue massage, ultrasound and icing plus dialing back the activity a bit helped turn things around much quicker. Now I do some of the massage techniques on myself to help fend things off. A bit of the tenderness seems to always be there, just a matter not letting it get so far gone that it's hard to function.

I recommend doing the ice massage 3-10 times a day including before and after the exercise handout. Wearing a brace while you work and sleep will also help a lot. Many people neglect to wear the brace while sleeping. Some people do nothing but wear a brace while sleeping and see a reduction in symptoms over time.

I had horrible tennis elbow in my right arm. I did intensive PT with massage for 6 months. At best it took me from a pain of 9 to a pain of a little more than 8. And during this time I severely limited my use of the arm.

I got a cortisone shot. After about a week, I was back to normal.

I still do all the stretching, strength exercises, and massage because I think they are overall good for me as I get older.

I got my second cortisone shot 9 months after the first.

If I can get 8-9 months out of the cortisone shot, I will put off having surgery.
