I openly admit that I am saddened to hear about your decision.  For the past 6 years you have been there for me while I learned about being a moderator here.  You have been a friend and gave me so much support during my various trials and tribulations and my cancer.

More than that I have seen you go far and beyond what would be expected and you have lived by your motto: "I try to treat people the way I would want to be treated."

I will miss you and wish you weren't leaving us here in the role that you have played.  I do wish you the best and hope that health, prosperity, and happiness accompany you along your new path.

Wow - big news. 

Shane, you have been an incredible resource to Festool owners and prospects and an outstanding advocate for Festool the company in solving issues, connecting customers to a wealth of information and being fair in moderation when it is hardly an easy job to manage a forum of users in an open Internet. 

Where ever you are going, I'm sure your customer centricity will carry you far.  Hope to see you continue to participate in the forum and wish you the best.  Your new opportunity must be amazing to leave behind this cast of characters that you spend at least 20 hours a day with!  I'm sure you'll get lonely and desire to participate on an occasional basis!

I hope you are moving to a new opportunity within Festool.  But regardless, thank you for making FOG a special place.  I'm hopeful that the three people they hire to take your place can be as accommodating and professional as you have been!
