I am flabbergasted. I have been very busy lately with a couple of Christmas projects (Christmas 2014 that is. I am actually ahead of my normal schedule : :) I only just came across this shocker. As others have stated, I will miss Shane as he leaves his old "pastime".
The only problem will be, I will have to get used to one more Nut when I visit the toystore in Mahopac. [unsure] Good luck to you, Shane.

Congratulations on your new opportunity, Shane! I enjoyed meeting you at the end-user classes I was in 5(?!?) years ago at Lebanon. You have not, however, seen the last of me! LOL! My Mom lives in nearby Peekskill, so I will have to stop out and visit you at Tool Nut when I am parting with more cash....
Just thinking about all the wonderful times on the FOG over the years. Openly bumping this thread. The clock is ticking. A few days left. I know he will still be around, but...
Congrats on your new job. As has been posted many times already, you will be missed. Just keep a picture of Mr. Sedgeley on your new desk when you get settled in, or better yet, a Full Screen Saver on your new work computer....... [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] to remember the good old times at Festool. [embarassed]
I only just stumbled on this thread. I'm back in a sales role now having put down my tools a few months ago. I'm sure my MD would be ecstatic if I could perform at even 25% of your level.
It also explains some of the unusual behaviour elsewhere on the FOG at the moment. I just posted the question in all seriousness about whether or not there had been a full moon lately. I didn't realise it was much simpler than that, without your guiding hand the FOG community is worried. Looks like your successor will have to hand out several buckets/truckloads of hugs before the community stops being so needy and calms down again. You will definitely leave a massive void but I'm sure it will be filled.
Best of luck in your new venture and commiserations to your competitors. You really are a class act.
