My 26" Precision square got bent and sent out of square (long story), but after sending it back to the company 2 weeks ago, I just got the square back in the mail -- in fact, it's a whole new unit, and not simply a rehabbed one.  That lifetime guarantee is for real.  They've just ensured that I will remain a customer as long as my hands can still hold a tool.
 
I have read of them doing that before. Very good customer service!
 
I recently had an issue with the model 6SS stainless carpenter square being out of specification. I notified Woodpeckers and within a week they sent me a new one and they also stated that they checked the square against QA standards to ensure the new square was within specs. They also sent me a UPS label to return the old square to them. This was a very painless, quick process... [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]
 
I love my 24" T Square and 24" Precision Woodworking Rule with the additional RS2 rule stop. I'll be adding to the collection!

My local Woodcraft store had better prices than Amazon FYI.
