I know this is the Tools and Accesories section, but it does get the most exposure ;) ....and it is almost Thanksgiving, soooooooooooooooooooooooooo, I just wanted to  say thanks to Christian, Shane, Martin and everyone at Festool for  "pickin' up the FOG ball and running with it", to the new Moderators Peter and Forrest for assuming their responsiblities - current and future, to the "reviewers; Brice; John L and Rick C for waaaaaaaaay to many things to mention, to the many "end customers" who gratiously share their expertise or ask the questions  that have us all thinking - adding to our knowledge base and to the many who just come here to gather info and don't yet post.

To all a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Up here in the Great White North we had our Thanksgiving a month ago.

I too would like to thank Christian, Shane, Festool, Peter and Forrest for picking up the forum and making it a great place!!!

Hope people in the US have a great Thanksgiving weekend and hopefully it will involve some shop time!

Hmmmmm!!
I have to build a couple of single panel doors this weekend for my wife's birthday... Looking forward to using the Domino for that or perhaps I could borrow yours!

yep!  happy thanksgiving to everybody.  I will be using my 850 planner and making a mantel in the morning and eating some turkey in the late afternoon!

Thanks Bob for the kind words, and thanks to everyone else that has made the forum what it is, and Festool USA what it is as well.

Hope everyone has a good holiday. I actually need to get ready with the bird tonight, as I am planning to slow smoke mine tomorrow, which is going to take most of the day, so I need to start cooking before I would normally even get up most other days. Nope, I am not what you would call a "morning person". It was one year ago that I got hooked on smoking when I put the Thanksgiving turkey on my gas grill rotisserie, but placed a cherry wood log over the burner. I haven't smoked poultry on the new smoker before, so hopefully it comes out better than last year's.

I would like to thank all the people who participate here for making the Forum what it is.  Without your participation this would be at best a blog - at worst - it wouldn't be.

I am thankful that this community is full of individuals from all aspects - hobbyists, pros, and dealers - whether or not they own a tool by the Festool name.  Each offers their own individual opinion, vision, thought, experience, and / or question.  I am also thankful that this forum exists outside of geographical boundaries and we are represented in numerous countries around the globe.  All their contributions add to the special community we have here.  We are fortunate, and personally feel that we should be thankful for the opportunity that we have to express ourselves here.  May we never take it for granted.  I know I won't.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Peter

anybody trimming the turkey with there festool jig saw?  or howabout shaving off a few pieces with the planer?  or saw dust in the stuffing?  LOL

maybe next year they will come out with a carving set. :o

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. My favorite holiday. Turkey is in the oven basted with a mixture of butter, spices, hazelnuts and prosciutto. As a side not has anyone else pulled up the WKRP Thanksgiving episode? You can watch it for free on hulu, zulu whatever that site is. For those non-Americans you may want to look this episode up and watch for a peek into american culture. The show is a sitcom for the 80's? And of course don't forget Alice's Restaurant as easy listening.
Have fun everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. It is my first Thanksgiving in the USA. I knew of it from movies, but now I can celebrate it with my girlfriend and family and friends.
