Here’s a new design I’ve been experimenting with. I’m calling this one the “4 and a half trout” chair because I accidentally erased part of the smallest fish with a quick slip of the sander after assembly. [embarassed]
Front legs are attached with 8x40 Dominos. Rear leg is notched to hold seat and joined with screws. 2-part epoxy was used to hold it all together.
*CNC hater alert*: turn back now! Don’t say I didn’t warn you... As with all my chairs, I sketched the original idea on paper. The difference with this design is I transferred the idea onto my laptop and then cut every single piece out on my CNC. The legs, scooped seat, backrest, trout images... everything was cut on the CNC. First time I’ve ever done it. Really fun project!
