The chippyshop

Still, it might be legitimate.

Unfortunately you must still be careful when dealing on the internet. There are many sites out there that are not so trust worthy so you'd best adapt a way of doing business that minimises risk as a general rule.

I checked this site from A to Z and there's no contact information anywhere except their hot line phone number. No office/depot address and not even an email address. I would never do business with anybody on such anonymous grounds. Like jmbfestool says, when you spend your hard earned money, you got to have some reference and an address to go to when something doesn't add up. Be safe.

Anyway, I'm not opposed to some skin on the net, but when it comes to spending money, it doesn't look very reassuring to me, to say the least.

Still, it might be legitimate. Might just be a bloke that's trying to market the products of his nice homebuilt CNC machine, VERY knowledgeable on the technical front, but not so much on the commercial front.
Tucked away in his basement trying to perfect his CNC portal router.... Might explain the somewhat-less-then-functional female assistents as well....
And the price would STILL be a steal !

It's not an entirely new concept to the woodworking/tool community either: Think woodshopdemo's nice assistants.
Over here there's a nice reseller of all kinds of powertools that shows videos of "Naomi" demonstrating some tools in the line-up.
Naomi's videos
You'll have to speak Dutch to grasp the rather obvious ambiguity in her comments on the tools at hand, but I'm sure you'll catch the drift.
Let's just say that a CT22 doesn't need a reference to "suction power" to be considered - the Hitachi clearly does.
Still, it's a nice company, very good customer relations and I've bought from them to full satisfaction ( and that was NOT meant to be ambiguous, thanks a lot ).

The internet has supplied small entrepreneurs with possibilities to cater to a potentially large audience.
The average small privately owned business won't have the means OR the needs to invest in a professional marketing plan.
So these things pop up now and again - I must say I actually like it: it's kind of refreshing between the very-effective-but-a-bit-bland marketing efforts of the big professional companies.
And quite matter-of-factly: it gets them exposure so it can't be all bad, can it? I must confess, as a small business owner, I might be a bit biased.... [embarassed]

Regards,

Job

Jezus them videos are stupid. The paslode one she is like oh there you under my skirt lol. And she is explaining to him about the gun lol Funny. She has a similair accent to where I lived. Does she sound like she from Noord Brabant?!?!?

Yeah but your site is using her on video and trying to keep males attention while demonstration the tools then hopefully blokes realise wow thats a good tool so their is a little bit more sense to it. But chippyshop just has woman posing which to me doesn't make any difference to people.

I dont know whatever man! lol
