Does the CT26 come with a 27mm or 36mm hose?  If the former, is it possible to do a dealer upgrade/swap for simply the difference?  Also possible to step up to a longer, 36mm hose for simply the difference?  Is this still acceptable to do in a tool-CT combo purchase?

Not to be confused with the re-usable long-life bag.

  Sure, no problema for either swap; done it before.

Back to the CT 26/36 question.....Are we able to add an additional power switch module like it was pointed in the review by Frank-Jan from Belgium?

I forgot to ask that question yesterday to the Festool regional rep during his tool demo day at a local wood shop store.  Also, he did have the CT36 with him commented that it was received the day before.  So a spanking new CT36 for me to check out.  On my way back home, I realized that I did not take a picture of the vacuum [oops] Oh well..... [embarassed]
Anyway, the vacuum had the handle, top and rear accessory storage mount installed. The size is pretty much like the CT33 or as a different perspective like a 18 gal Rubbermaid storage container.  On thing for sure, the CT26/36 is aimed to be mainly at the shop. It didn't feel too heavy but again it was virtually empty. If you think that you are going to generate a lot of dust, go with the CT36 for extra $50.  It is only 56 mm (about 2 3/16" )higher.

$50 difference between the 26 and 36?  ???

Well, here in Europe (NL to be specific) it's a ?146,36 difference, or $187  [wink]

That's why I bought the 22 back then. The 33 was like 90 bucks more expensive, but for me as an amateur it would take a lot of years to get back the investment.

No 2nd socket for the US? Huh, I thought we here in Europe were king in stupid regulations.

I have a CT 22 with a boom arm and handle.  I really don't like the thing onsite, so I am considering selling it and trying this.  So let me see if I have this correct - If I buy a CT26 and want to use the boom arm, I have to purchase a new handle for $75 AND some other part for $33?

Aside from capacity and power, how does the CT26 compare to the Mini or Midi?  Are either the Mini or Midi being rejuvenated in the near future?

Since you say you don't like your CT22 on site, why are you considering the new CT26?  If you examine the Review of Festool Cleantex CTL-26 you'll see that there is not that much difference between that new model and the CT you already have.  Yes, there are a few changes, but nothing that would be that compelling to upgrade -- especially since you are currently not satisfied with the CT22 you have.

Brice - I was just clarifying what Shane said.  That information was spread over several posts.

Corwin - Thanks for providing that link.  I spent a great deal of time trying to untangle the cords from the wheels of the CT22 while moving it around on site.  I am hoping that the CT26 cords do not get entangled in the wheels so much due to their new placement.
