The Dates Set For The Get Together Pt Deux 2015

I would like to come and meet you all. Not sure that I will have anything of interest on the van but will be in it anyway. I cant commit 100% yet as mrs or work could change things but will do my best. Those cheese chilly dogs sound awesome!

Pencil me in, be good to put faces to names. Met JRB at w14 but looking forward to seeing some tools! ;)

Ok John your very welcome I added you to list.

please be aware this isn't for sales etc, it's a non sponsored thing just for everyone to meet and greet, have fun, share Ideas and knowledge.

But if Ya do have something that you think is pretty cool and would like to show it off as a individual please bring it.

Like last year JRB brought some cool bits that are great for installing cabinets.

Hope you like American hot dogs and burgers

Hi
Just to underpin what Ron has posted above.
The meet up is all organised by Ron off his own back and is not sponsored by Festool U.K in anyway and Festool U.K do not influence the meet up in any way either. I attend as a typical 'woodie' to meet others and discuss the common value of Timber , tools and machines - and bring as much kit as i can [wink]
Ron was the first to organise an event for owners and well done Ron for this - last year was really cool.
Looking forward to meeting some new and old faces again this year.
Phil

Thanks Phil

This is all about building a community us meeting each other putting faces to names etc, sharing  tricks of the trade they want to show off, cool ways of using the domino, MFT, cutting techniques easy way to make adjustments having nice day .

I'm setting my MFT with the old style Kapex fence to let the guys see how it can be mounted on a MFT and it can extend out to 8 ft for ripping full sheet of ply easier.

It's just a bunch of tool guys getting together and enjoying ourselves.

Heads Up folks,

It's about 2 months away, time to start making your arrangements and decisions as to whether your attending.

But for you folks on the fence, there will be plenty of folks who know Festools here so if ya need advice and or help with a project the guys who know will be here.

Times getting short ..

Sad new though, my buddy who was making the Southern style beans Recieved a new job and a promotion .  It's back in the states. So no Southern beans for us ... [sad] [sad] [sad].

Errrr.........what are 'Grits' heard of them but never asked what they/it is......limey question i know [tongue]

Grits have been a little perverted here in the last couple of decades. True grits are made with dried then ground hominy.

Though hominy starts out as corn, it is traditionally soaked in lye and it changes it considerably.

People now think that grits are almost synonymous with watered down polenta and they are not. I think someone from NYC named Bobby Flay popularized that incorrect notion.

Grits are also traditionally served for breakfast with red-eye gravy, which is a mixture of left over coffee and bacon drippings.
