Very nice Rembo, is the panel as thick as the counterprofile tenon? looks very thick, is there some kind of insulation in the panel maybe?

Totally awesome Rembo.

I have all our outdoor doors made out of pine with water-resistant MDF sandwiched in the middle and they weigh (door only) a little over 60 kilos each.
These oak doors must be very very heavy. More then one hundred kilos I guess?

My deepest respect for the work you do and have shared with us.

Yes, it kontrprofil, door thickness 52 mm.
of isolation did not understand the question .. I use online translator [smile]

Nice work Rembo, this is the kind of project I had in mind when I bought my XL 700.

I really like the way the original door (and your new door) has the correct three panel proportions. Too often you see a three panel (one third / two thirds) treatment with the centre of the main door too narrow.

WOW no wonder Martin Luther just posted on the out side of the door! Those are some strong doors your building.

Love your work! Keep posting.

Cheers.

I have only just discovered this thread. Your work is beautiful - well done. I like the jig for XL 700 - better than the one that I made for doing hinges. That just goes to show how fantastic the XL700 is - and how good a craftsman you are.

Tell your wife that Peter says that you are talented.

Thank you gentlemen! ))
but still have to finish off with a chisel after XL. I would like to add a video, but my camera is missing 10 seconds. installation of the loop is just over two minutes [big grin]

now ready door meeting with the XL (I do not want to open a new topic)
glass is inserted from the top.

Very nice but if the glass is inserted from the top at assembly how do you repair a broken glass panel?
