The latest addition to the fleet!

From your images Hall of pure joy. Your work with the depth of field is great and suggests the use of f-stop of 1.2 or perhaps 1. If you are not doing photos directly on medium format. This, coupled with excellent composition is fantastic to see. But my joy is even greater that I while waiting for TF 2200 set to my home. Friday deadline has not been fulfilled, at least your great pictures I can see. All the best.

[thumbs up]

Excellent pictures!  I had crossed the CMS off my list, however you and Bryan have me second guessing myself.  I have to look into this Incra fence.

Thanks!  I do use a shallow depth of field when shooting, anywhere from 1.2 and no greater that 2.8 when in the Woodshop!  I really enjoy shooting wide open when it calls for it.  When I was first starting out, it was quite difficult for me to grasp the concept of depth of field, the "circles of confusion" we're really confusing!  I worked hard to understand the concept and while I still have a lot to learn, it is definitely one of the tools I use to improve my images.  Congrats on the TF 2200, it will be worth the wait!  I can only dream of adding a 2200 to my shop as it's not available in North America...  Maybe one day!

Thanks again, you're very kind!

I'm flattered to hear that your reconsidering the CMS!  Bryan's thread is what broke the camel's back on my decision.  I need to land a few more gigs so that I can get the Incra LS Positioner.  My neighbor has one on his all Incra set up, and it's real nice!

Eric,
I have some photos of the VL you might find useful. I am unable to post photos to FOG from my IPad. Send me a PM with Email
If they are of interest. Your photos due brighten the day.

I like your photos. I have had the VL for about a year now and like it. It gives me a longer table for crosscutting.

I was just thinking that.  I only use a router table once or twice a month, so I was having trouble justifying the cost.  With pics like these, I'm back to seriously considering it!

Thank you!  John, yes, that was one of the factors that swayed me towards the VL over the GE, when affixed to the MFT/3, it's one pretty hefty bit of kit!

Glad to hear that my photos can have such an impact!  I guess it's "payback" for all of the threads that have made me go out and buy more Festool!  [big grin]

On a serious note, it is one amazing piece of machinery!  Installing the router and taking it out is really quite a breeze, so, no need for a dedicated router.  Once it's setup and squared up it holds pretty well.  I've tested it by taking it apart and reinstalling the sliding table and fence; it's quite a brilliant design!

My router is in the shed sitting under the VL where it has been for some time, those pics are truly magnificent and first up tomorrow the router is going in that insert.

I already have everything in the picture but somehow i want more now i have seen your pics!
