Because all of my existing drill bit are running to an end, plus having recently bought a T12 I'm considering new drill bits, Festool drill bits. I did buy the Sentrotec 2010 systainer but nevertheless it holds only a limited amount of drill bits. In particular I am disappointed with the number (5) and length of the wood drill bits it has but of course I did know this before buying. With Festool seemingly offering only few wood-drills sets I'm considering the Novadrive HSS twist drill bit set, the cheaper one, or the HSS D 3-6,5 CE/MK/ 21 set which is a little more expensive but though comes in a sturdy metal casing. Either one, I would buy two sets at once to have some stock. It is cheaper buying a set then buying one of each drill bit separately. I have understood that the Novadrive are the "older" non Centrotec ones and I guess therefore only fit in the Fastfix chuck and I would be fine with that but they are Hss bits anyways.. Furthermore I don't often use the small bits (1, 1,5, 2, 2.5 mm) but I'm sure they will come in handy at some point as I did use these sizes before. The Nova set starts from 1mm up to 10 but the HSS D 3-6,5 CE/MK set starts from 3mm from which I think will do fine too and would be a great complement to the 2010 systainer.
Cutting things short, would you go for the Centrotec bits convenience wise or the Novadrive price wise?
Any suggestions? ???
