The plunge release on my TS75 is stuck

I can't push the plunge release lever up which means that I can't pull back on the trigger to start the saw.

I have used the saw for several years, so I do know what actions to take to operate it.

This first happened yesterday and finally, after several tries, the plunge release worked properly and I was able to use the saw and did so for about 10 minutes.

This morning, when I first tried to use the saw, the plunge release was stuck again.

The saw is quite clean and there does not appear to be anything stuck in or on the saw that is preventing the plunge from operating properly.

HELP!

The same thing happens occasionally with my ATF 55.  When it happens, i relax and try again.  Sometimes, i push down on the trigger and instead of pushing on the saw handle, i ease back and jiggle the trigger and it lets loose. It is not a big problem------YET

I am sure at some point, it will become a problem.  It seems to be a little slop in the trigger locking tabs at the top.  i can see the parts and how they work.  I am getting into non-WW'ing period for next few weeks as i set up scheduling and reports for my LS biz and take care of tax stuff.  The LS reports i enjoy.  The tax stuff > not so much  [sad]

OK, I jiggled the saw for awhile and tried the release again a few times and it finally worked.   ???   ???  ???  ???  Once it released, I sprayed the area with lubricant and, so far, the release has not stuck again.  I have some hope that it won't stick again but no confidence inthis hope.  ???  ???  ???  ???

Frank, On my ATF 55, I can see the locking/release mechanism at the top of the handle.  When it locks up, i watch closely as i jiggle the trigger and hold back on the handle.  I can see how far i can move the trigger before pushing down on the handle. The only time it seems to happen is when i try using the saw left handed.

Even tho I'm a South Paw, I have spent so many moons using right handed tools, i only get messed up when useing any tool left handed. I just figure Festool knows of my problem and >>>>>>> well, we won't go into that  [unsure]

Well, it's a week later and I have used the saw  about a dozen different times with no sticking.  So, I am somewhat confident that the cause of the problem (whatever it was  ???) has gone away.
