Brice said he wanted to see the copes we were doing with our new ras115.  This is the build up we are working on in the AV room we are finishing up.  There are three crowns stacked with a series of fascias and soffit.

Looks good from here Chris!
Nice work.

BTW, did you use the regular pad that comes with the RAS or the stickfix pad?
Tim

The ras came with a stick fix and I ordered a fiber fix for it.  I think with a thinner crow we might be able to get any with the stick fix but this walnut is at least 5/4" think and would heat up quite a bit.  We remove a ton of material from the backside first with a jigsaw.

Wow, great job Chris, like the video too!
let me know when you need some help [wink]

Really well done!

Do you guys cope every inside corner?  Why not just cut an inside miter?

Please excuse my ignorance when it comes to this, but I run an ton of prefinished trim in kitchens with a lot of bump outs and would kill myself if I cope the inside corners.

I certainly was a miter guy before working with this guy.  I would pre- build my inside corners on a bench with crown clamps, glue and brads.  That worked ok for short runs but if you have assemblies that are not manageable then I think you need to cope.  BTW, the upper crown is 2" and I pre- built the units complete and slid them into place.  My boss fought me on the first one but then saw the results and was happy about the time and quality.

I think in our biz there are many ways, and we should do our best to learn as many as we can.
