I seem to recall Shane saying that would be offered in a carton only, rather than in the maxi systainer. But, I'm sure you could pick up a maxi from one of the Tanos dealers over there, and possibly the insert too...

EDIT: my apologies, it wasn't Shane it was Tom, Here.

I'd be happy to package the Shinex with a MAXI Sys. As it is brand new, I can't say I know what the most used pads would be. I could package it with an assortment that is similar to what comes with a new sander - sort of a starter pack.

I'm open to suggestions.

I was thinking about this and am leaning toward everyone just choosing what they want, sort of a la carte.

Tom,

have you played with one yet? I was going to ask about that during the Doors class and forgot.
I haven't used a direct rotary buffer since mid 80's. Is it quiet, smooth? 4.6lbs, pretty light.
I see it looks pretty similar to the Flex, but I like the idea of the speed adjustment on top as I'm left handed.
I remember that a direct rotary was easier to burn a paint job if not careful, but I liked it for acrylic when it hazed.
I know the polishes are refined to make life easier. Of course, I only have base clear coat, what you buy from factory,
I don't paint stuff anymore, just polish my autos.

TIA,
Jerry

I haven't tried it yet, Jerry, but when I get a break, I will. I keep trying to just get the stuff loaded on my website and something always comes up - even if just I have to get out from in front of the computer. I'm hoping to have everything nice and tight in a day or so.

If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to ask them. I'll see if I can come up with a real world test soon, maybe even with some video.

There is a thread on here from a professional detailer who was asked to give his thoughts. I forgot his name but I'll bet it will come up quick if I leave that an open question.

Brice, that was a great link, thanks.
Tom I appreciate it very much, looks like the Festool will win this one.
His comment about the sound level was nice.  Autogeek has a video file on the
Flex so I could get a feel for the sound. The Flex as it is, still quieter than the Milwaukee that
I had. I'll check out your site and see what you have listed as well as possible package setups.
Thanks again.

Jerry
