The recondition sale from Festool, transformed my shop into a Festool Shop.

At the beginning of the year I started purchasing Bosch L-Boxx’s the lesser option to Systainers, due to the thought I wanted to get my tools organized and I could never afford Festool. Then I got 1 large job in and I was eyeing the Domino and as it was 10% off at the time, I made the plunge. With the little credit line I had I used that to purchase a CT midi. I had my foot in the door. The Domino is awesome, but not a daily tool in my shop and I invested in a ETS125. After seeing  the performance on a daily basis of excellent sanding results and the cleanliness of the job I was blown away. Now how to get more.
I paid off the CT midi on credit and used it to get a Carvex and accessory kit. The rest came at a discount. I found a OF1400 which was never used, from an architect whose father passed away and was a woodworker.  $300. Then found a rather rough shape 850HL Planer used for $330. (Still works awesomely) Two big scores. Then onto Reconditioned.
I purchased a reconditioned Porter Cable belt sander years ago, and found for quality tools it’s not a bad way to go. They only offered a 90 warranty on the belt sander, but it still works great about 15 years later. So looking at Recondition tools with a 1 year warranty from a top notch tool maker was a no brainer.

I stocked up with the increase in business. Picked up an RO125, TS55, DTS400, T+12, RAS 115, then a TS 75, and waiting on a Ti-15. In about 6 months I went from none to replacing all my hand power tools to Festool. (Granted I am not married, so all my extra spending money can go to Festool)

I did an install at the new GoDaddy corporate offices in Chandler, AZ. The facilities management was blown away by my professional , and how clean and quickly I worked to complete what could have been a messy job, cutting sheet goods and all on site. Festool satisfaction!

It's true, the recon sale is a great way to save on Festool! October is 40% off! I doubt we will ever see this again!

Congratulations on many fronts!  As you continue to use your new GREEN friends you will find even more efficiencies and also ways to spend whatever funds you have or don't have. [big grin]

Great story about how to take advantage of used/reconditioned tools to build a Green Shop at a good price.  Thanks for sharing.

His kids are sucking the Festool Fumes early. I see Festools found under their beds in the next year or so. "Hey, What are you doing with my TS55? Dad, I learned it from you!"

God bless Festool!

I'm Doug in Sun City West, AZ. Not too far from Chandler.
I've had a Festool jig saw and CT26 vacuum for several years and always drooled over the other tools when I was in a woodshop that sells them.
Then I needed a new sander and bought a new RO125. That did it !!
I bought 10 more tools, 7 at 40% on the recon sale from In Touch Tools in Palm Desert. Great knowledge and service.
Now I can get at the home projects in a efficient, clean and enjoyable way. Instead of dragging something back out to the garage to trim 1/16 off, I'll have the tools at hand.
Thank you Festool. This sale means sales of accessories will go thru the roof. I've already got quite a list.

Yep, how can you hold off buying the tools you have wanted when you are getting them so cheap!  In this 40% sale I got the c15, t18 set, ras115, cordless d handle carvex and the mini vac.  The tools that have arrived look brand spanking new!  Santa will be grinchy to me now I bet, but who cares, I'm swimming in festoys.

Doug, Always happy to see other Phoenicians here, We should set up a Phoenix Festool meet up group. We could all sit around talk festool and share experiences in the shop.
