The recondition sale from Festool, transformed my shop into a Festool Shop.
At the beginning of the year I started purchasing Bosch L-Boxx’s the lesser option to Systainers, due to the thought I wanted to get my tools organized and I could never afford Festool. Then I got 1 large job in and I was eyeing the Domino and as it was 10% off at the time, I made the plunge. With the little credit line I had I used that to purchase a CT midi. I had my foot in the door. The Domino is awesome, but not a daily tool in my shop and I invested in a ETS125. After seeing the performance on a daily basis of excellent sanding results and the cleanliness of the job I was blown away. Now how to get more.
I paid off the CT midi on credit and used it to get a Carvex and accessory kit. The rest came at a discount. I found a OF1400 which was never used, from an architect whose father passed away and was a woodworker. $300. Then found a rather rough shape 850HL Planer used for $330. (Still works awesomely) Two big scores. Then onto Reconditioned.
I purchased a reconditioned Porter Cable belt sander years ago, and found for quality tools it’s not a bad way to go. They only offered a 90 warranty on the belt sander, but it still works great about 15 years later. So looking at Recondition tools with a 1 year warranty from a top notch tool maker was a no brainer.
I stocked up with the increase in business. Picked up an RO125, TS55, DTS400, T+12, RAS 115, then a TS 75, and waiting on a Ti-15. In about 6 months I went from none to replacing all my hand power tools to Festool. (Granted I am not married, so all my extra spending money can go to Festool)
I did an install at the new GoDaddy corporate offices in Chandler, AZ. The facilities management was blown away by my professional , and how clean and quickly I worked to complete what could have been a messy job, cutting sheet goods and all on site. Festool satisfaction!
