Thick and Quick

I bought a small bottle of Titebond Thick and Quick glue out of curiosity.

I’ve been using it for the glue up of a small table. My first reaction is that I really like this glue. My Domino tenons are totally solid after 15 minutes.

It’s not runny like Titebond III, my go to glue. No drips.

The quick set time is great for simple glue ups, but would be a nightmare for involved glue ups.

I use it a lot at work when doing door trim. I like to glue my mothers but I move quick at jobs and don’t have time for clamped wood glue to dry. Quick and thick is the solution. It doesn’t run at all (useful for me as I often glue over my head) and it is dry very quickly. A Collins miter clamp or a clam clamp holds enough pressure in 10-15 minutes for a solid joint.

But it is true if I’m having trouble lining up my miter the glue can dry to fast and requires me to scrape it and start over (rarely).

I believe quick n thick is just a rebrand of their own glue solution (the name is escaping me) and can be got a little cheaper under the other name.

You do have to be quick or at least plan the glue up. Other nice feature is that it dries nearly clear. No yellow.

My favorite glue. Sometimes hard to find and comes only in 8oz & 16oz here

I like their moderate flexibility. I mean neither as flexible as a silicone nor as rigid as super glue. Not to mention, they dries quickly and  clear.
