The other half wants the small deck on our condo re-finished, we made a deal if she bought a big festool sander I would sand and stain it. [smile]
I talked to tool nut over chat and decided on the ETS150/5 for the larger stroke over the /3. I am not sure if I mis understood him over chat but I thought it would have the dual mode like the rotex 125 I have now. Not that big of a deal, makes sense they would separate the more aggressive stroke and fine stroke into 2 units, they will sell more sanders.
Here is where I think I made a mistake, this stupid hose attachment, what is this? I now have a sander that requires a separate hose from all the rest of my festool items. (3 sanders, jigsaw, 55Req, domino, 2 routers, ct wing extra hand, drill dust collection and I am sure something else) so now I need to buy another hose and then swap them around when I want to grab another tool. Here is the part that ticks me off, in all the pictures on amazon, cpo, toolnut and even festools catalog (there is an updated photo on festool usa, did not use to buy) and descriptions there is no mention of it. I am sure that the sander is awesome but I am going to have to send it back and buy the rotex for another 100 bucks, but at least I will have the dual mode again.
Dont suppose there is a way to work around the new locking hose connection is there?
