That's very cool. I especially like the walnut bowties. The bark must have been on it for a while of the storage time? It's got some insect damage.

I flattened and finished about 10 other pieces for the client and he built the rails and footboard with what I supplied back. Yes, the bark was on, the insect damage added a bit of character. It was a fun project to bowtie, I liked having the thicker ties with the middle exposed.
