this is how it begins

If your nephew can work with it, then anybody who from now on says that the Rotex is difficult to control is officially a wuss. ;D

it's funny you say that. His issue is not with control,... it is with attention. He's 4 1/2, what can I say? [big grin]

What uncle in his right mind would let his nephew with a shirt that says "I didn't do it" loose with power tools?!  [blink]

Ah, just kidding, that's an awesome picture.  Thanks for sharing it, Harry!

I'm heading back down to Virginia in a few days to celebrate my grandmother-in-law's 100th birthday!  And I'm really looking forward to more time with my only nephew and niece.  I love 'em so much.  Maybe I should take some tools with me.  [smile]

Harry,

Great photo!  I can only image the smile on your face when you took that photo.

Shane,

Please do bring some tools.  I am not that far away!

Peter

Here is my grandson with his first wood working project. Notice what he is standing on to reach the work table. And the last photo of the completed wooden truck. He made this during his week long visit. Every summer we take the grandkids for a week, so there mom and dad have some alone time. But it is the greats time, for us, when they visit.

Heh. The haircut, although grown out already, fits him perfectly. He is a wild man! He is wide open, full throttle every waking moment. The concept of walking is completely lost on him, everything is at a run. He is all about tools, motors, wheels, machinery, hunting, fishing, `manly stuff`.

I got a cute picture of him helping us build the new deck. I need to see if i can find it. it's somewhat comical.
