Hey guys, we're going to be doing a serious revamp of some of our content.  The LS 130 is one of the first that we attacked.  We're pretty proud of what's been put together and wanted to see what your thoughts were.  Check out the link below for the Festoolproducts.com Information on the LS 130 vs. Festool USA's thoughts.

I'd like to include some comments, quotes, maybe even links of your own on the page.  Feel free to give your thoughts.  It's really opened my eyes up to what this sander really is capable of.  I always thought of it as a one trick pony when in reality it's a 180 degree spin from my original inclinations.  Never assume, Mama always told me why.

Honest response?

First thing I do is scroll through for a cursory glance ... through repetition and font size - the thing that stuck in my mind is free shipping for accessories.

Also I personally like to see the accessories and consumables separated.

Strange graphic background behind some of the "includes" in the technical tab (viewed with Safari).

Something I like to see is target purpose or "ideal for" to help me select the right thing.

Also, don't the US offer sander+CT bundles? If so, should be obviously linked - didn't notice it if it's there and it should be prominent.

Think there's too much dense detailed text ... should be dissected and headed.

I could prattle on, but as my broad approach is typically very different I could come across as too negative.

That's awesome Kev.  Thank you for your thoughts.  Muuuuuuch appreciated.

Sean,  The video was great but, I found myself fast forwarding through it since there is so much time spent on each sanding task.  OK, so it can do crown molding but watching the guy on a latter for what seemed like forever?

Accessories; incomplete information such as "Abrasives, Pack of 0"?  or Pack of Pa?

I also agree with Kev, that the site has too much written content,  I just take a quick look and start skipping.  The content needs to be better organized with more pictures of the capability, etc.

I only responded because I'm interested in the LS 130 EQ but, this web site won't move me into a purchase.

im on the fence over the ls130 (but my legs are pointing to the buy side)
the site didnt do much. i did read it all but found it long and winding. 2-3 paragraphs and bullet points of the key feature would be better.
i dont think all that info would help someone who stumbled onto that page , they would move on and not read it.

i also like to see accesories and consumables seperate . maybe a link to that page or a few tabs on that page

Guys, you rock.  Thank you for taking the time to give your honest feedback.

Sean,

To be honest I kinda blew by this thread.

Last night I was cruising through Toms tool Home website (what else does one do on a hot Sat nite) and had a look at all the accessories that this tool has and the different applications it can be used for especially for moulding, base board and possibly cabinent door sanding , window trim furniture making /restoring etc.

This morning I was looking at the video you linked. It is a pretty slick tool. If I was installing alot of trim, I would definately get this tool.
