Hello all, I'm looking for recommendation to fix composite pieces on aluminium riser

The risers:https://www.homedepot.ca/product/py...-1-16-in-includes-one-1-riser-only/1000785424

The composite boards:https://www.homedepot.ca/product/tr...ing-board-pebble-grey-1-in-x-6-in-/1001107125

My first tought is to use threaded insert with epoxy. I was looking for stainless inserts but I need about 100 and the ones I found are almost $1 a piece.

Any suggestion or recommendation to fix the board?

Thanks Mario!

You could go with brass threaded inserts, they're about 1/2 the price of stainless.

If this were my problem, I'd install the stainless inserts and fasten the treads with stainless fasteners. Buy once...cry once. [smile]

HOWEVER, stainless against stainless has a tendency to gall so you'll NEED to also apply some Never-Seez to the threads of the stainless screws/bolts.

If you decide to go the brass insert route, I'd also apply Never-Seez to those fasteners to prevent any corrosion between the brass and stainless elements.

Here's an 8 oz can with a brush top but a 4 oz tube is also available.
