I recently i had a fault on one of my 18v 4.2amp batteries. The battery was approximately 16 months old.

The battery gauge on the drill was flashing and battery had no power. So i plugged into charger and the charger was saying it was full.

I called up service who were very helpful. They had the battery collected from site on the Thursday mid morning.

I came home from work on the Monday with a brand new 5.2amp replacement waiting for me.

Thanks Festool!

And a good reminder to everyone that warranty also applies to the batteries.
