I've been using the TI15 for quite a while now and as an impact I find works well.  As we have seen from some of our UK buddies the ti15 isn't going to do the job of 2 drills, the non impact mode has its limits, but as an impact I feel it performs very well.  In using it over the last year I find it outlasts and outperforms other impacts that carpenters used onsite with me. Sure most of the other impacts weren't brushless motors but they did feature 3.0 amp batteries, and on average the TI lasted double the amount of time while screwing off decks, I was using the 2.6 amp batteries in the TI at the time.  I do like the fact that the TI15 can be bought as a bare tool in the sys3 and paired up with a T or C15 for the ultimate drill set.  I wish there was a better was to turn the TI into a drill driver, and have the torque of the normal T15.  But for me I normally have 2-3 drills set up on site as I hate switching bits when I'm installing cabinets or doing decks. Overall I've been very happy with the performance from the TI15 in impact mode.

Thanks for the review Dave.

I was wondering if I could just buy the TI 15 and the chucks and use it as my main drill/ driver.  It sounds like I would be better off with both the T and TI drills or just the T.

I don't use large bits often, but do you have any experience with the 18 volt drills and using the 1" drill bits?

I use the t18 all the time on kitchen installs. I used he t18 to drill 1" holes for the water pipes and also 2-9/16" holesaw bit for the drain lines, the t18 handles it with no problem.
