Is there such a thing as an adapter for centrotec for the TID-18.  I saw that there is such an adapter for the TI15 (TI-FX 498233) but wary about trying without some guidance.

insights? I already have the PDC from the twin pack bundle so would love to just stick with my Centrotec bits and drills rather than duplicating.

thanks

There is no adapter.

Why would you want one?

The TiD-18 takes standard hex bits, and that's all you need for driving screws.

Maybe he is all Centrotec and doesn't want to have both types of bits?

Regardless I don't think there is an impact rated adapter for to go from 1/4" hex to Centrotec.

Because I’d rather not have to double up on bits and drills, obviously.

thanks SRS.  Based on a description,  it looks like the TI-FX actually had a “switch” that turned off impact on the TI15.

Are there any impact rated centrotec bits? Do you have them?

Regardless of that, bits break a lot with impacts and standard impact bits are 1/4 the price of centrotec bits.

You want good impact bits, Bosch will get you what you need for $20.

You shouldn't use drills with an impact driver. That's what the PDC is for.

I have the Ti15 with the Ti-Fx adapter. Not a good match.

I realize you are talking about the TID but I just bought one of these for my T 18 E.  Not 100% satisfied with it though.  When I put a centrotec chuck on to it, the bits don't quite feel secure right off the bat.  I have to fiddle with them some.
