TID 18 work w my5.2 batteries?

Any 18v Festool battery will work with the TID 18.

And if festool are still doing it like they used to, the TID 18 will work with any Festool 'slider' style battery. So any Li-Ion or NiCad battery from 12v - 15v - 18v. . . That's backwards compatibility baby!!

Maybe [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] is able to confirm that the TID 18 is sticking to this backwards compatibility pattern of Festool's?

[member=22067]mrB[/member] I suspect all flat pack batteries NiCD, NiMH, LiIon, 12V, 15V, 18V would work with the TID 18 but I don't have any documentation to back up that assumption. [member=71429]DerickC[/member] [member=101]Festool USA[/member] could probably help verify.

Well, not exactly. The 18V ERGO batteries made for the Festool cordless sanders will not work with other tools, including the TID 18.

Oh no, but I guess the 15/20 years backwards compatibility had to end some time. . Can't exactly call it an issue as there really can't be much Ni-Cad stuff left out there these days. .

. . expecting flurry of posts showing old C12s still in action to follow :)
