Hi there,

I'm in the process of building some melamine cabinets for the garage and I've just realised that most wood glues don't stick well to Melamine.  I've used domino's on every joining face but can't find any information or experience that says I can use Titebond III, which is the only glue I have to hand.  Do I need to use a special Melamine glue?  Or can I get away with Titebond III on the domino joints only?  Or perhaps a combination is best?

Cheers.

I'm currently undertaking a large project consisting on laminated flakeboard.  All of my joints have been done with just dominos and titebond extend and they are rock solid.  In researching what glue works for melamine and HPL I found out roo glue was recommend over everything else for gluing to the smooth melamine surfaces.  Hope that helps.

+1 on roo glue.  works like a champ.  haven't needed it for a long time, but woodcraft used to sell it.
