To drywall with 4500 RPM or not to drywall with 4500 RPM ?

Hey Oliver, love the emoji's...and the old Explorer II.

FWIW...here's a photo of an extended floor gun that mkasdin was referring to. Easier on the back and knees when installing subfloor or overlayment. This one was sold by Milwaukee however the feed mechanism was manufactured in Germany by AEG possibly ?

Interestingly enough, the short and long guns are both 2500 rpm and either one will drive subfloor or drywall. I have also used both of them for several outdoor decks. I think the reason they can handle all these chores is because they're corded.

Lol!  By the end of the weekend I'm expecting to see the plant beds sheetrocked in and new closets added to every bedroom and bathroom!  Why?  Because DWC!

Thank you very much [member=44099]Cheese[/member]  [big grin]

I've never seen such a extended floor gun before, it's possible that AEG made the feed mechanism, but honestly I wouldn't know - as I'm seeing this for the very first time. But not having to knee down to fasten floor panels is definitely priceless. If I ever re-do the sheds wooden patio, I will keep an eye out for one of these - so great! Thanks for taking the time to take a picture of it!

I looked into the technical data for some of the available screws for drywalling and there are quite a couple that are rated at a maximum of 2500 rpm - others can be used between 2500 and up to 6000 rpm (whatever screw gun that is... ;) ) It's also pretty much dependent on screw length and thread type...
