I can't find this spoken of in the FOG (even though its very possible that many might know about it ), so I thought I would mention it for those who don't the importance of the Planex sanding pad set. It's such a awesome set for your final coats and makes any swirl marks non existent and your final coats super smooth .

now the most important point I must stress is you need to purchase the pad set rather then a cheaper interface pad. Why you ask? well the pad that they give you is actually 1/4" thiner then what comes with the planex so now when you add the soft interface pad ( 1/4 " thick  ) its at the same hight as before. Why is this so crucial?? dust collection.

when adding a soft interface pad on top of the standard planex pad you'd be shocked , the dust collection is no where as good, as your pad is now higher then the brushes and you can imagine what that will do.

Shawn from Atlas told me this tip as he is the king of knowledge when it comes to festool.

That is a good point. Also, the soft pad has to be used with an interface pad. Festools' literature can be a little lacking and confusing.

An excellent tip.  I made that very mistake - buying only the interface pads and not the set because of the lack of information in the product descriptions.
