It is with heavy heart I inform the group that Tom has passed away. From what I understand he succumbed to his cancer on Wednesday December 23rd. As I receive more information I will update the thread.

He was not only my tool dealer but also a great friend. We have lost a good man.

Tom was a very nice guy.

He was not only my dealer but a friend to.

Im going to miss the conversations we had.

Very sad news.

Tom has been a great member of the Festool family for a long time.

Praying for his family during this difficult time.

Shane

Tom was trying to set his wife with the dealership before he passed. I do not know if she will continue with it, but if she does I will let you all know.

Tom was a man. He certainly walked the walk.  Always there to help and then some.  Never in a hurry to get off the phone when you called.

And he stayed the same while battling this painful, hideous disease.

We talked some time back about holding a Fogwood Derby Fundraising Race.  He really liked the idea but didn't have the strength.  Maybe?

OMG, just got the news and how terribly, terribly sad and upsetting to hear, made even worse occurring at this time of year.
Considering Tom's diagnosis and updates, this wasn't unexpected, but when it finally happens, it hits like a ton of bricks.
He was a damn good man and will be very much missed. My sympathies to his wife Veronica and to the rest of his family.
RIP, my friend.

What sad news indeed.  Tom will always be in my mind as a hard-working honest compassionate man who would try and help until he couldn't do any more.

Tom was there for me when I was going thru my cancer and that too I will never forget.

My condolences to his family and also to those whose lives were touched by his efforts.

Very sad news.  We have lost a good friend and an outstanding dealer.  Continued prayers for Veronica and the rest of Tom's family.

As many others have said... Tom will be missed by many... Especially his loving family. I had talked to Tom the day he found out and had a very heavy heart and was honored that he felt he could tell me the news that he did while turning right around and taking care of my very minimal needs.

He was a leader in his trade and had a lot of great stories and knowledge to share with everyone he met. A pillar is not something easily replaced!

God bless his family in their time of grief.

You will be missed my friend.

Bryan

Tom was a great man. I felt humbled by the fact that he told me of his battle before it became public. This has been a really bad week for me as I lost my business partner of thirteen years last Saturday. I was hoping for a better result. If Veronica keeps the business going ALL my Festool purchases will be with her! My sincere condolences to Tom's family!

So sad to hear. I made several purchases with Tom, and emailed and spoke to him on the phone a few times as well, a great guy for sure.. My condolences to his family

This is crappy news considering it is the holiday season.  Tom was a great guy and as many said a great dealer.  He will be missed.

Such terrible news. I enjoyed my conversations with Tom immensely and he was always helpful and patient. He will be missed and my sincere condolences to his family.
