Too many emails

I received 5 emails today from Woodpeckers (if you count the one from Ultrashear).

A little google research shows that there are studies available that suggest an optimized number of marketing emails that should be sent.

Not only is the 5 emails per day annoying, they are counter-productive.

There have been plenty of studies about the proper send cadence. Determining your send cadence often depends on when your emails are most likely to perform, testing along the way to see what resonates with your audience.

Sending emails two to three times per week seems to be the peak stat. Once per week and four to five times per week both showed associated data trailing off. The data you’re looking for, when it comes to determining a send cadence, involves what keeps your subscribers engaged.

did anyone find a good way to fine-tune the notification settings without completely turning off updates? I don’t want to miss replies to specific threads, but the flood of emails gets annoying fast. Wondering if the forum setup has changed since last year—any improvements?

When I get an email notification from FOG, it asks me to sign in.

If I exit the link and go to the site, I find that I am signed in.

So I never ask for notification anymore.

When it is convenient to post, I go to the site and look at the “New Post” list and then look for any thread that looks familiar.
