i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, however before the new hoses came out I wanted to save some money and put together a DIY solution to add a sleeve/cover to my 36mm hose that I could also integrate a plug-it cable into… after a lot of research, and some trial and error in sizes, I found some material that worked with the 27mm hose, and then set out to find a size that would accoidate the 36. For both sizes i had some shrink wrap custom made to cap the end of the sleeve if the plug-it cable was being installed, and if installed without the plug, the end of the material can be tucked between the screw on end of the hose and the adaptor fitting… matches the Festool colors perfect, and I had the logo printed on some 8” sections of shrink tubing.
I figured I couldn’t possibly be the only one who would be interested in these, so I ordered a spool of each and had some custom shrink fittings made….. they aren’t patented or anything, I just got the idea and rolled with it.
i put quite a bit more time money and effort making the kits than I thought I would, figuring out all the diensions and all that, pacing, printing, design, cutting, ect...... i'm not trying to make a killing of the, but if anyone is intersted in buying a kit i have 8 kits for the 27mm hoses and 6 kits for the 36mm hose.. if you're interested just let me know and we'll figure out a price that works for us both (again, this was more of a test than anyting) the shrink wrap for the 27mm are green and the 36 are black. my wife is a graphic artist so she whipped up a quick image of the product for me..(below)
Looking for a name, I called them “tool and hose Vac Jackets”. This is my first time posting really, so I’m not sure if I can post a pic, but they came out really good. i’ve got some kits put together if anyone is interested in them….
Let me know, and if people end up liking them as much as I do, I’ll make some more! Any feedback would be VERY appreciated!!
