All these years, I'd found the belt & disc sander's dust collection poor, and attributed it to the nature or limitation of dust collection for that kind of sander. The build-up of a dust cake on inlet opening/port finally convinced me to disassemble the extraction components, and discovered that the design wasn't the issue. A piece of wood in the chute blocked the flow, eventually causing the extraction to fail.

I also found the use of crepe block to refresh the sanding disc caused a build-up along the disc cover, impeding airflow and dust suction into the chamber.

After the fixing, the belt & disc sander works almost like a dust-less machine!
