can somebody explain tool points to me.

the stickers on the boxes have different numbers of tool points for each tool, the stickers fall off the boxes within months so i cant post a picture

festool uk say they mean nothing, my dealer says he doenst know what they are for (but as he is advised by festool uk so i didnt expect anthing else)

when i contacted germany direct they politely directed me back to festool uk

the german's (and businesses generally) dont do things for no reason and festool uks denial just fuels my curiosity

my guess that it is a form of loyalty scheme?

As far as I know it only works in parts of Europe but not us here in the UK, they collect points to get free tools.

But it's apparently a past dealer incentive I think? There was an old thread on tool points.

In some countries the Festool subsidiaries have customer clubs. If you register your tool for warranty, you can collect those tool points
and exchange them for something later on. Here is a list of countries that are participating:http://www.toolsforprofit.com/
