I was really loving using my festools today so I just had to snap a pic

mupumuby.jpg

Wife and I are doing some remodeling. She's slowly been figuring out  that I have an ongoing fixation with these tools.

Anyway I accidentally sent some paint  flying the other day. By the time I got down the stairs to check the damage she had a rag in her hand and was frantically wiping paint from the side of the CT26, before cleaning the moldings!

So I ordered a  TS55REQ.

I'm sure there's rationale there somewhere. I don't know what it is but I like it. [blink]

Well ... from a pure addicts viewpoint there's nothing wrong from any context. For example "I was having breakfast and I ordered a RO90" or "I was talking to my mother-in-law so I ordered a CT36". See, it all just works.

Anyway, the detail you're missing is that he lovingly purchased the TS55REQ for his wife in gratitude of her caring for his CT26 [wink]

Only a ct36 for talking to the mother in law?!?

Hey now, that little Milwaukee kicks some little ass. It's not his fault he gets dwarfed in the pic.

I love my M18 Fuel circ saw as well. Cross cuts like a champ, tons of battery life, wicked power for how portable the saw is, I never even touch my corded saw anymore. Once you go (good) cordless, you'll never go back. I only have the 6-1/2" one, which is in "lefty" configuration, I'd rather have the 7-1/4" righty and get that extra depth for bevels as well.

If the TSC 55 were available here, I'd very strongly consider it.

You're going to love the TSC.

I had an 18V Toshiba circular saw and is was just rubbish.

I like the logic the wife wiped off the paint of the CT so I bought TS 55, I had a similiar epiphamy I was researching systainers after my recent PDC and Centrotec purchase so I turned around and smelled the roses got a bee in my bonnet so now I'm going to buy a RO 90 DX and $200 worth of abrasives, and then I still don't have the systainers...!! So next I'll probably bang my head on a doorway and have to get CXS! AND STILL NO SYSTAINER ORGANIZED *OR * DIE is my project this winter...

I'm curious about the shoe the Milwaukee is wearing. What system is that from?

Milwaukee tools use to be great tools. Had a 7-1/4 circular saw when I was 18 and it lasted 20 something year. I had to replace the blade guard and they gave it to me at no charge, great service. Let a friend use it on my job and he dropped it 2 stories off a roof onto a concrete slab and destroyed it.

Wasn't to happy with the milwaukee cordless drills/battery/charger 10 years ago but it looks like they are doing better now. Really interested in the brushless drill/driver.

I did a comparison with the mikita 7-1/4 and Bosch 7-1/4 saw same blades through a treated 2x6 and the Bosch walked away from the mikita in power, speed and $50 cheaper with better features.

With all that said I either buy Bosch or Festool. Just makes you wanna get up and build something lol
