Toolpoints?

Anyone know what the toolpoints are all about ???

The catalogue, price lists, websites etc. all mention toolpoints, but I can't find anything to explain what they are. I assume they're some sort of loyalty/reward scheme?

I know that Festool has a reward system for the salespeople, I think it was (seriously) something along the lines of sell a hundred thousand dollars worth of tools, get a gas barbecue grill. My brother-in-law (was my brother-outlaw 'til two weeks ago...) both sells Festools and has a shop full of 'em, and he was laughing over it, and trying to see if he could talk 'em into a couple of router bits instead...

I seem to recall a discussion on this some months ago and a dealer posted that it was indeed a loyalty program but NAINA. Maybe a dealer will come on again and clarify.  ???

it's a loyalty program for Festool retaliers. I PT at a Fes retailer. I give my points to the FTers since I dont expect to earn enough to matter.
