I'm not talking about IT people not using tools at home in their spare time or not being good woodworkers. I'm just talking about how they don't need many tools at work. I imagine a multi-bit screwdriver, flashlight, pliers and cutters along with some cable ties is all you need to be in IT.Frank Pellow said:TelcoRandy said:I don't think these guys intend to be funny but I laugh every time I watch their videos.
I agree with everyone here when you all said it's a terrible review of the Carvex, but if you look at their other videos they're all terrible reviews. I'm 99% sure Dan works in IT (so he probably only uses just a small bag of hand tools)
...
How an you imply such a thing? My entire (paid) career and was in IT and I found many of my fellow workers to by very knowledgeable woodworkers.
(p.s. I'm not upset by your statement, just curious as to why you would make it.)
I was just trying to make a point that these two guys don't come across as tool aficionados. But, I don't claim to be one either. Let me end by saying that I'm not a wood worker and anything I've done in terms of woodworking is just makeshift and really shotty.
I'm just on this forum because I love tools and I really like Festool drills, they're top notch. I don't use a lot of power tools at work, just a power lug crimper, portaband saw, drill, test equipment, etc.
