Track saw front dust gathering?

This does require another hose and a Y connector. In fact, when I designed it, I also designed a Y connector for dust extractor and I put it on my store when it was ready. Here is my setup:

However, the Festool 577280 should also work since it has both 27mm (for the saw) and the 36mm (my front attachment).

I thought the Y-attachment, or a custom attachment would be very close to the saw.  Am I understanding the device?  I thought it travelled with the saw.

Festool has two different Y adapters: One that attaches at/near the collector with two same-sized ports (I think 36mm all around), and one that attaches near the saw, with two different-sized ports (I believe one 36mm and one at 27mm) for items like the CMS router table.

Y-hose split means less airflow to the saw port. You might catch more at the end of the cut, but less throughout the cut.
I would rather add an enclosure at the front of the saw - a brush shroud, similar to what they do on CNCs. Or simply use a stop block at the end that you cut into.
