I removed the old splinter guard but the residue is not easy to remove. Any recommendations on what to remove it with that wont damage the track.

My dealer highly recommends a plastic razor blade. I don’t think I want to use a metal razor blade on my track. It’s an Orange Scraperite.

Festool should do something similar like mafell did on their rail in which the splinter guard attaches to the rail using a groove that accepts the rubber.  No glue.  Easy to install and remove.

Acetone or acetone free nail polish remover goes so quickly and easily there's really no need to faff about with razor blades and the like.
