Asking for some guidance. Painted multiple cabinet doors and used cardboard to separate them so they wouldn’t rub. Got to the job and the cardboard scuffed them all up. Now they need repainted. Any suggestions on how other professionals transport multiple doors?

Thanks in advance

Movers’ blankets. Buy them from Harbor Fright for a cheap price. They are designed for tha exact purpose. Easy to store and reusable. And relatively cheap—certainly cheaper than repainting the cabinets.

Harbor Fright is an accurate description.  Anyway, Harbor Freight is a good source.  I keep a furniture pad folded up stuck behind my truck seat all the time.

Not sure if this can help anyone else but I will throw it out there. I typically use strips of sill seal, the foam 6 inch roll that you can get at the lumber yard for going under the pt sill plate bolted to the foundation. Usually light blue or pink depending on brand. I use strips of that between finished doors when wrapping everything up to take to install. Been doing it for years, its cheap, easy and and works great.

Movers blankets form HF and a roll of the stretch film in 4 inch width to bind everything up with.

I wrap with the blankets then use the film to pull everything tight so nothing moves/rubs.

The film does not stick to the blankets so no mess there.
