Triangle

So I am looking into a triangle, and the only reasonable option I have found so far is the Woodpeckers 4"/6.25" combo.  The TSO Products is way out of my price range.  I think something bigger than 6" but no larger than 12" would be preferred.  I know Woodpeckers had the one time tool, but its no longer available.  I would like to keep this under $100 if possible.  Am I asking too much?

[member=62754]MTbassbone[/member] - have you considered FOG Classifieds, craigslist, ebay for a used WP OTT 12 inch triangle?
might come closer to your target cost if a precision triangle is what you need. If Ed's suggestion of ANDERSON plywood suggestion does not work there are other less expensive triangles but still better than speed square accuracy.

We considered offering a 12 inch  Triangle but there are enough smaller triangles out there so we did not  see an unmet need as is the case with the 18 inch triangle.

I will definitely check out the classifieds and eBay to see whats out there.  I saw the Anderson triangle, definitely an option to consider.  Thanks for the responses.

Call Woodpecker and ask if they have any of the 12" or 18" triangles left over from the one-time production run.  Sometimes they do.

I've got the Anderson Ply triangle.  It's dead accurate when measured against my woodpeckers square.  Perfect for MFT alignment.

There are also videos showing how to use dogs and the MFT holes for alignment of the fence and rail. No triangle needed.

You might want to get two of Anderson Plywood's squares and bond them together so you can check the squareness without having to drop the rail when you're cutting material thicker than 1/2".  Just a thought...

The Woodpeckers 6" Carpenters Square would be a better option for squaring up a guide rail. LINK

Around the net this is the most suggested guide rail square, but they are One Time Tools and rarely made or show up "used": LINK

Purchase a clear plastic "triangle" from your newsagent or drawing/art store. They are super accurate .. and cheap.

You can also use the ujk rail clips with dogs to make your cuts and never worry about checking square. TSO has a package deal with all you need and it works quick and easy.
