If you do investigate dvd's, please ask if they are coded for playing outside of North America or your country in particular.

Does anyone knows if I can play the Gary Katz dvd's in Belgium ?

Regards,
Nico

Nico,

I don't have the answer, but I am working on it.  It will probably take a little while to get an answer.

I've shipped the DVD's to customers in Australia, England, Ireland, France, Germany, S. Africa, New Zealand, Singapore, and as far away as Canada! And no one has ever had a problem playing them. Of course, there's always a first time....  I've never shipped any to Belgium, at least not that I can remember.

I'm working on a new one right now--just setting the jamb in my studio for...The Doorhanger's DVD. I should have it out by the fall.

Thanks for your interest!

Gary,

Are the files on the DVD's .VOB's or are your vids .WMA or something similar?  I guess you could just have them set region free.

Thanks Gary!

I have been a follower and fan of your efforts to educate.  I purchased one of your your DVD's and have watched it several times.

Please keep up the educational effort!

Peter - the not so much video guy.

I have a tremendous respect for Gary and the work that he does.   Yes, he's a good finish carpenter.  Yes, he makes good videos.  However... Unless you've seen him in person, you don't understand the passion he has for carpentry profession.

I did a write up of JLC Live 2007, with a special focus on Gary and his co-presenter Greg Burnet: http://www.talkfestool.com/vb/woodworkers-cafe/552-jlc-live-2007-seattle-quick-review.html (includes lots of pics).  As I pointed out, it's his intensity that got me.  During his presentation, he said...
Always do the best work possible. Leave the job-sites saying, 'I did great work today!' And you should be charging in the top 10-20%. Your customers will be saying, 'That guy is very expensive! But he's worth it!!!'
He was VERY impressive to watch.

Regards,

Dan.

I have 3 of Gary's DVDs, though disc 3 got scratched and no longer plays.

You can always play them on a computer and export the display to a TV if it does not play in a stand alone DVD player. Also, if you have a region free dvd player then they will always work.

For TV viewing, most newer flat screens can be plugged into a computer as an auxiliary monitor.  You might need a special cable.
