Trimming edgeband with the MFK

Hello All.  Looking for advice on trimming 3/32" edge banding with the MFK. I have seen it used (in videos) in both the horizontal and vertical positions and was wondering if there are advantages to one over the other. If used in the horizontal position it would be used with the 0 degree base and not the 1.5 degree if that is a consideration.

I make the decision based on the shape of the piece. Some shapes cannot be trimmed horizontally.

Generally horizontal provides more stability, assuming there are no obstructions along the way.

No obstacles, strictly straight runs on this project. Thanks for the input.
